DailyAtlas publishes practical answers to everyday questions about money, technology, health, travel and the home.

The premise is simple. Most of what ranks for these questions was written to fill a page, not to answer anything. It is vague where you need a number, confident where the honest answer is "it depends", and undated when the facts changed a year ago. We try to do the opposite.

What that means in practice

We put numbers in. A price, a limit, a timing, a dose, a deadline. "Affordable" tells you nothing. "About $28 a month" tells you whether to keep reading.

We date everything. Every article shows when it was published and when it was last checked. Prices and rules change; an undated article is quietly lying to you.

We say when we do not know. If the honest answer is that it depends on your situation, we say so and explain what it depends on, instead of guessing confidently.

We correct in public. When we get something wrong we fix it and note the change at the bottom of the article. We do not quietly edit and pretend it was always right.

Who writes this

DailyAtlas is an independent publication. Articles are researched, written and edited in-house and published under the DailyAtlas name rather than individual bylines. Editorial responsibility sits with the publication, and every correction goes to one address: Hello@daily-atlas.com.

We are not doctors, lawyers or financial advisers. That is exactly why every health article is built on named public-health sources — the WHO, the NHS, Mayo Clinic and their national equivalents — shows the date it was last checked, and ends by pointing you to a qualified clinician. We summarise published guidance. We do not diagnose, and nothing here replaces someone who can examine you.

Where a subject needs expertise we do not have, we say so in the article instead of writing around it.

How this site makes money

Two ways, both disclosed.

Advertising. We show ads from Google AdSense. Advertisers have no say in what we write and no advance sight of it. We do not sell articles, sponsored posts, or "guest posts with a link".

Affiliate links. Some links to products earn us a small commission if you buy. It costs you nothing extra. We do not pick recommendations based on which programme pays more, and articles are written before any affiliate link is added — not the other way round.

If either of those ever conflicts with telling you something useful, the useful thing wins. That is not generosity; a site people stop trusting stops earning.

What we do not do

  • We do not publish AI-generated articles. We use AI for research and for drafting, and a person edits, verifies and signs every piece before it goes up.
  • We do not republish other people's articles.
  • We do not write about topics where being wrong is dangerous and we lack the expertise — specific medical treatment, specific legal advice, or individual investment recommendations. For those we point you to someone qualified.
