A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. This page lists every one that can end up there through DailyAtlas.
What we set ourselves
Nothing that tracks you. We use browser localStorage — not cookies — for two preferences, and neither leaves your device:

You could block both and lose nothing but the convenience.
What Google sets
This is where the actual tracking is.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
Google and its partners set cookies to choose which ads you see and to stop you seeing the same one twenty times. These may be used to build a profile of your interests across sites.

Turning off personalisation does not remove ads. It makes them less relevant and, for us, less valuable — but that is your call to make, not ours.
Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
GA4 sets cookies to count unique visits and measure which pages get read. You can block it entirely with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
If you are in Europe
Advertising and analytics cookies need your consent before they are set. If you are in the EU, the UK or Switzerland, a consent banner appears on your first visit and you can accept all, reject all, or choose which purposes you allow. Nothing beyond what the site needs to function is set until you decide.
You can change or withdraw that choice at any time — reopen the banner from the privacy link in the footer, or clear this site's cookies in your browser and reload.
Turning cookies off in your browser
Every browser can block or delete cookies. Blocking all of them breaks parts of many sites, though not this one.
